No More Wires In Your Home Soon
Most people like nothing more than getting their hands on the latest technological advancements.Everything from electric door bells to home computers were readily embraced in the hope they would make people’s lives easier and give people more free time. To large extent this is true. Items like washing machines and vacuum cleaners have revolutionized the way we live, but they have always had one floor in that they are wired into your home and so limit your freedom.
Everyone knows how much effort is involved in hooking up your lawnmower to the mains and trying to find an extension cable that will reach to the end of the garden and not give you a thousand volt shock if you mow over it. We have always been chained either to one part of the house or to the house itself, but this is all changing with the freedom that wireless technology gifts us.
Previously, if you wanted to listen to music in your home you would have to sit in the room with the stereo, or buy one for each room. Nowadays you can have one central unit and wireless speakers in each room allowing you to hear your tunes wherever you wonder. Wireless internet means you can roam your house freely on your laptop and you can even buy a wireless alarm clock which connects to your stereo wirelessly and blasts out your favorite ABBA song (or whatever you like) to wake you up in the morning.
Wireless technology can now be found in every corner of people’s homes these days, from wireless light controls and DVD players to wireless-controlled radiators and telephones. It is thought that by the year 2020, over 50% of the technology in our homes will be wireless, and this will grant people more freedom than ever.
Dancers! I need help with my cyclone contemporary?
Im choreographing a contemporary dance to the cyclone song from the Wizard of Oz and I need some help coming up with an entrance that's impressive. I have 4 dancers. We can use the stage, apron, the steps around the stage, floor around the stage, and the aisles in the auditorium. Please help me? Thanks!
you could start off the sides and have lights on as they strike a pose then balck out for 2 seconds to move a bit further. then so on and so forth. hope it helps.
Blind Va. Beach pianist jazzed to be competing in D.C. (hamptonroads)
WASHINGTON, D.C. Virginia Beach-reared Justin Kauflin strolled onto the stage
for the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Competition on Sunday with a
grin on his face and his guide dog, Candy, at his side. After settling in at
the keyboards, and settling his black Labrador onto the floor beside him, he
proceeded to play for a chance at $25,000 and a one-year record deal.
Braking hard on the stage floor carpet.
