How would I hook these Speakers/Studio Monitors to my laptop?
Hey guys,
I hope you can help me with this. I am a bit of a newby in the home recording world and need some help. I need some decent speakers and plan on getting some of these Samson Resolv 40a Monitors after seeing my friend had them and they sound great.

I was wondering If anyone could tell me how to hook them up to my laptop which just has a standard 3.5mm input for headphones and a mic. Someone said I needed a Hi-Fi amp or something?
Any ideas?

The speakers have a built in amp, all you need is a 3.5mm to RCA cable. Any will do as long as it is male-male. Something like http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Unlimited-Stereo-3-5mm-AUD-1200-25/dp/B0016LTZFI would work perfectly.
