can i use regular felt for a pool table?
must i use pro grade stuff its a real cheap table. and i'm a pretty cheap dude...
You can use plain old felt. I just recommend pulling tight ad securing it very well. I've been playing pool for 20 plus years and have played on a rebuilt table that was done that way. It didn't seem to affect the game. Although my grandfather did say that it took more work to resurface the table that way. And he thought it may have been better to have it done by a professional, just to save the time. But go for it, just watch your fit. This way there are no bumps. By the way the table I am referencing was a slate top not a newer Formica or pressed top. So it may make some difference in those cases. But I think you can still do it. Best of luck...
