Safeguarding Your Network Through A Network Monitoring Scheme
Network monitoring is something that regularly monitors a computer network for abnormalities, like system failure, and informs the network manager via email or other types of alarms strategy that regularly monitors a computer network for abnormalities, like system failure, and tells the network administrator through email or other kinds of alarms is called Network monitoring~Network monitoring is a system that tells the network administrator by using email or other warnings during the regular checking of the computer network for problems such as system failure are discovered. It picks up any overloaded or crashed servers, network connections or other devices via the network monitoring scheme. Most systems today have these types of devices to watch the network. Overseeing the network might include checking HTTP pages, HTTPS, SNMP, FTP,SMTP,POP3,IMAP,DNS, SSH, TELNET, SSL, TCP, ping, SIP, UDP, Media Streaming and a range of other ports depending on the system’s routine.
There are metrics by which a computer system could be measured. Response time, availability and uptime are the most typical although some measure consistency and reliability. Today’s inclusion of WAN optimization devices has already affected most network monitoring equipment, especially with measuring precise end to end response times due to the limit of round trip visibility. But with the current setup of the monitor network equipment, professionals have found a way to decrease their effects and maximize the monitoring of the units.
Measurements which take care of network monitoring include network tomography and route analytics. Network tomography actually relates to examining the health of different links in a network utilizing probes that go from end to end, sent by agents situated at vantage spots in the network. Meanwhile, route analytics are methods, system, algorithms and equipment that monitor the routing posture of networks. This is because inappropriate routing causes unwanted performance degradation or downtime in the system. By properly monitoring these variants, we can determine the overall performance of the network.
When a system slows down or fails, the system should notify the network manager of the incident. Notification may be made through an email message, pager alert, alarm or mobile phone call. The network manager should be advised of overloaded systems, failed servers, lost network connections, virus or malware attacks, and power failures. These notifications should take a high priority when it comes to the network manager. On the other hand, when it comes to power failures, it is vital that you note that your system should have back up power because if you lose power there it could affect the notification process.
The network monitor system is generally made through a “ping”, or a test to every single computer in the network. Just in case the system doesn't respond or takes too long to do so, then there should be a notification to the network administrator regarding the issue. Pings are designed to be responded to right away. There are more monitoring network systems that get regular virtual snapshots of the network’s workflow. In case of irregularities in the workflow, the system will record it and if there is a significant threat to the network, a report should be made to the network manager. Hence, regular check ups should be scheduled to preserve the performance of your system.
Why does my tire pressure monitor system read zero?
It's a new car - 3 months - and the tire pressure monitoring system shows "0 PSI" for all tires even though they're full. I've checked the owners' manual but it doesn't even mention the problem (let alone how to trouble shoot it). Any suggestions on how to reset the program so that it will provide accurate tire pressure readings? It's a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer, by the way.
Thanks very much!
There is a little (expensive) computer called a TiPS that is used to reset/reprogram or adjust the Tire Pressure Sensors in your wheels.
The only way I know of to access the TPS is with the TiPS or similar machine. It simply presses on the tire valve and you can perform tasks from there. Since your truck is still fairly new I would be going to the dealer for some warranty work (aka FREE) before spending money on something that you really don't need to own.
The TPS is a fairly new thing and there is not much info out about it yet. The dealerships are still playing secrets with mechanics and consumers.
