Guitar Amp Modeling: The Future Of Amplification
With guitar amp modeling, you are not held back by the limitations of one particular amps tonal range. The best of everything with a huge library of effects is on offer. Whether you want to create the sound of a small tweed or shake the walls down, with guitar amp modeling, you can do it all. In the 60’s and 70’s they required many outboard stomp boxes to produce flanging, distortion, wah-wah or chorusing sounds. Now thanks to modeling all these and more multi effects like chorus and delay plus reverb are available in one unit with a much quieter sound.
What are modeling amplifiers?
Modeling amplifiers can replicate the sound of bass amps, guitar amps, effects and cabinets. When mixed with different microphones, they have the capability to emulate the sound of a traditional speaker cabinet. Some modelers are imaginative creations and do not set out to sound like any real life guitar. This means the user has the creative freedom to make their own unique sound. There are many benefits when modeling amplifiers are used as opposed to traditional amplification thanks to their technology. Typically, modeling amps are capable of a broad range of effects and tones as well as cabinet simulation resulting in the ability to record without a microphone. Modeling amps generally digitize the input signal and use a DSP to manage the signal with digital computation.
A modeling amp for all sounds.
The good news is there will never be a compromise for sound with a modeling amp. It just depends on the sound you are after and what you play. Not just an amp for pros, we have the Behringer Bass V-AMP Pro. It provides the ultimate tone toolbox for keyboard, bass and acoustic/electrical guitar players and has Behringers’ exclusive rotary effects, auto wah and DI output with ULTRA-G cabinet simulation. You can choose between 32 classic amp, 23 speaker cabinets and 16 awesome effects modes. If you’re looking for an effects pedal that creates an acoustic guitar sound on a standard electric guitar then the Behringer AM100 is for you.
If you’re looking for a guitar amp it will be easy to see why using a modeling amp is so good. As a musician you will find it easy to decide for yourself which one is for you and which one can convey your individual tone the best. Guitar amp modeling really is the future for guitar amplification.
What is the best distortion pedal for a 15w amp?
What is the best distortion pedal for a 15w fender amp. I like to general rock.
The output wattage of the amp doesn't really matter when it comes to distortion pedals. A couple of great pedal choices for general rock distortion would be the BB Preamp or a modified Tube Screamer from ANalogMan.
