An amateur recording studio can be a few mics and a computer. Your studio is more like a pro studio. A lot of amatuers do their mixing and efects on their computer so they don't have all that equipment. I have a couple really good microphones, an Audio to Digital Coverter and my laptop and that is my whole studio. I have a couple albums out (I sell at cdbaby.com) and I have been very happy with the sound. I do all the mixing and effects on the computer with my recording software.
